Graduate Scholarships

Through the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Scholarships (QES) program, VIU will be funding a total of 12 scholarships over three years to support Master's students at VIU to pursue research, field work, or studies in Commonwealth countries, related to the project theme of Building Resilience in Coastal Communities. Scholars will receive funding to cover tuition, living and travel expenses for visits to the host country of up to four (4) months.

The scholarships represent a unique opportunity for experiential learning, the development of cross-cultural understanding and communication skills, and first-hand research or field work experience in an international context.

Participants in the program will also be expected to contribute to the growing Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee “Community of Scholars” through disseminating findings, networking, making presentations, organizing or participating in national and local events, mentoring other Scholars, and actively and creatively supporting the success of the BRiCC Program.
